how to make chocolate cake

























INGREDIENTS




  • 1 cup flour
  • 50oz cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3 cup of yeast
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • If making a larger cake use double.
  • If making a smaller cake use smaller bowl
  • If you want a more choclatey cake then you can use 1 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 150g golden caster sugar
  • 150g plain chocolate

steps

firstly......Beat butter till soft then add 50oz sugar and mix. Then when done add eggs by portions.

    Sift the dry ingredients together (flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa).

    Stir in the liquid ingredients (vanilla, water and milk).

    Pour the mixture into an 8 inch greased and floured round pan. (20cm)

    Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 or 50 minutes. (180 degree Celsius)

    Let the cake cool.

    Frost as desired.(frosting, icing)

    For an optional garnish, sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cake.
